What is Keep Screen On?
Every phone, tablet, and laptop dims and locks its screen after a short idle timeout to save battery. That is fine most of the time — but not when you are following a recipe with messy hands, reading a long article, watching a live dashboard, or waiting on a download. This page is a free browser tool that holds your display awake so it never dims or sleeps while you need it, without changing any system settings or installing anything.
Just open the page, tap the button, and your screen stays lit until you switch it off. Everything happens locally in your browser — no account, no tracking, and no data ever leaves your device. It behaves the same across Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, iPhone, iPad, and Huawei, giving you one simple no-sleep switch on every device you own. Set a timer to stop automatically after a set duration, or leave it unlimited and turn it off whenever you are done.

How to Use
Three simple steps to keep screen on.
Open the Website
Visit KeepScreenOn.com in any browser on any device.
Click the Button
Tap the power button to activate it instantly.
Stay Awake
Your screen stays on for as long as you need. Click again to deactivate.
Behind the button, the tool uses the browser Screen Wake Lock API to ask your operating system not to dim or lock the display. When Wake Lock is not available, it falls back to a tiny looping video that produces the same effect, so the tool works across older browsers too. The lock stays active only while this tab is open and in front — switch away and your device returns to its normal timeout automatically. Nothing is stored, and turning the switch off or closing the tab instantly releases the lock.
Keep Your Screen On on Any Device
One click works the same across every phone, tablet, and laptop.
A wake lock behaves slightly differently on each platform, but the result is always the same: your display stays awake for as long as you need it. Here is what to expect on the devices you use most.
iPhone and iPad
Open the page in Safari on iOS 16.4 or later, tap the button once, and leave the tab in the foreground. For the most reliable result, turn off Low Power Mode, which can override the wake lock and let the display dim earlier than expected.
Android phones and tablets
Works in Chrome and Samsung Internet on devices from Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO, Huawei, and others. There is no app, APK, or Play Store download — just open the page and tap the button, then keep the browser tab visible for continuous wake.
Windows laptops and desktops
Use Chrome or Edge on Windows 10 and Windows 11. The tool asks the operating system not to dim the display, so you never have to change your Power & Sleep settings or request admin rights from IT.
Mac laptops and desktops
Works in Chrome, Safari, and Edge on macOS. If the screen still dims, open System Settings → Displays → Advanced and make sure "Prevent automatic sleeping on power adapter" is not blocking the browser wake lock.
Samsung Galaxy
Open it in Samsung Internet or Chrome on any Galaxy phone or tablet. It is a fast, task-specific alternative to Smart Stay and the system screen-timeout setting, and it also works in Samsung DeX mode.
No matter which device you use, the flow is identical: open this page, tap the power button, and let the display stay awake for exactly as long as you need. When you are done, one more tap releases the lock and your device returns to its normal timeout behavior.
Tips for Longer Sessions
Plug in for long sessions
A lit display uses more power than a sleeping one. If you need hours of continuous awake time, keep your device plugged in so the battery does not run out mid-task.
Keep this tab in front
The wake lock stays active only while this tab is visible and on top. Avoid minimizing the browser or switching to another app, which releases the lock and lets the screen sleep again.
Pin the tab or go fullscreen
Pin the tab so it stays accessible, or enter fullscreen for a clean, distraction-free view. Both reduce the chance of accidentally closing or covering the page.
